Why Hackathon for SSD?
- Software System Development will never happen in silos. This gives an opportunity for all the students to experience a team based ideation and development.
We expect every team member to contribute towards this activity in some form so that you experience the journey of product development in action as a team.
Exam Scheme:
- This is a Team based Activity. An individual in a team is required to contribute some part of the overall submission.
- This is an Open book exam. You are open to use LLM, but declare the usage.
- Each team is required to pick one problem from the available 5 problem statements and submit the solution based on the submission instructions.
Exam Schedule:
- Problem Statement announcement: Friday 26th September 2025, 5:00 PM
- Problem Statement Finalization: Friday 26th September 2025, 10:00 PM
- MID Hackathon Start Time: Friday 26th September 2025, 10:00 PM
- MID Hackathon End Time: Sunday 28th September 2025, 10:00 PM
- Grace Time (with penality): You may get a grace time of 3 hours from the Hackathon end time with 5% penalty i.e. Monday 29th September 2025, 1:00 AM, grace time of 6 hours from the actual due datetime with 10% penalty i.e. Monday 29th September 2025, 4:00 AM, grace time of 12 hours from the actual due datetime with 15% penalty i.e. Monday 29th September 2025, 10:00 AM
Exam Syllabus:
- Concepts covered in the Class (Native HTML, CSS, JS), NoSQL, SQL and React Basics including the concepts covered in Lab sessions
Logistics
- There is no specific Venue for this activity. You may wish to do it remote, virtual or together in some place.
- Please note that if any student in a given team is not available to participate in this activity, all the other team mates are required to mention it as part of peer review form so that the student will be excluded from the exam and will be awarded Absent.
